Minds a Myth
150 x 100 cm
Newspaper collage, pen, and paint on canvas
2025
This work explores the difficulty of understanding our own minds, and the need to open conversations around mental health.
Using Japanese newspapers, collected and gifted during my trip in April 2025 the material reflects a personal truth: at times, my thoughts feel as though they exist in another language, complex and hard to translate.
The composition mirrors the restless movement of the mind racing, layered, and unpredictable.
Minds a Myth sits between confusion and clarity, inviting a deeper recognition of the beauty and unease in learning to understand ourselves.
